Found in Revolution Art Magazine. One of my favorite type of images is when something is put into a collage to create another form that is recognizable. I enjoyed the sepia kind of older feel to this particular design, though it's not exactly retro and has a modern look to how it is designed.

Found in Gib Magazine. I absolutely love illustration and wish I was far better at it which is why I was drawn to this particular piece. i enjoy all the different textures and how the trees look almost like they were possibly made from watercolors. I have also always enjoyed the concept of how the world would look if I were to be a giant and everything was so much smaller compared to me.

Found in Bak Magazine.  Bak magazine is an online design kind of magazine that goes with various themes every issue. This theme was called dream and I found this page in particular to be really eye catching. The colors and the specialized text along with how the text layout on the pages is really well put together. I very much suggest this magazine if you ever want to look at something different.

Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder

An image by Nick Thomm I found after the homework. I really enjoy the illustrative and photographic elements in the piece. It's definitely not something that people typically do. It kind of made me want to try this kind of thing one day, possibly create a series of them.

Remember Remember the Fifth of November

Found in Smashing Magazine. This was a contest for the month of November and I was immediately attracted to how they used the V in V for Vendetta to make his poem reference in the movie. I enjoy the more grunge type feel to it like most of my other blogs as well. The V is also well integrated by using it to look similar to a clock hand with another reference to the movie.

Found in CMYK Magazine. I loved how the business card was set up with the Raven looking bird on the front and the actual name of the company "Rogue Red".

Found in Communication Arts Magazine: Design Annual 52. This was an advertisement for a "secret" wine tasting party. When I first looked at the picture I thought it was just pictures that had been photoshopped, but when I looked closer I saw it was purely illustration and was amazed. I love this kind of detailed illustration and the wit behind the "come see the members" and the illustration combined.
